Born and raised in Lima, Peru and surrrounded by family gatherings such as weddings, birthday celebrations and many other music related family events, DJ MIKE discovered his love for music at a very young age.

In 1996 he seized an opportunity of moving to the US (Los Angeles, CA) to pursuit the american dream. It was in Los Angeles that DJ MIKE gained global knowledge in multiple genres of music but his passion for Latin Music (SALSA, CHA CHA CHA, GUAGUANCO, SON MONTUNO, MAMBO, GUAJIRA, BOOGALOO) was indescribable.

In 2011, a year after moving to Atlanta GA, DJ MIKE started his career at a very well known Latin Club in the Atlanta metro area. Shortly thereafter and after gaining popularity with the latin dance community, several event organizers noticed his passion for latin music, his sense of musicality but most importantly the ability to read the crowd and build up the energy on the dance floor with his choice of music.

 Since then DJ MIKE has spun as a Guest DJ in many Clubs, Dance Socials, Festivals and Congresses in the US and abroad. He is currently the Organizer and DJ of 2 successful Dance Socials in Atlanta, TUMBAO hosted every 2nd Saturday of the month (a high-energy, upbeat latin social consisting of Salsa, Mambo, Guaguanco, Salsa Dura, Cha Cha Cha, Guajira, Boogaloo with a hint of Bachata) and BACHATuesdays hosted every 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday of the month (Traditional, urban and sensual Bachata nights with a splash of Salsa).

DJ MIKE is also one of the orgnizers of the ATLANTA SALSA & BACHATA FESTIVAL. In addition, DJ MIKE is a Vinyl Record Collector. DJ MIKE is still Djing in various Latin Festivals, Congresses, Clubs and Dance Socials nationally and internationally.
